Technical & nautical ship management

International shipping faces ever-increasing technical requirements and regulatory challenges. 

To meet these challenges professionally, our in-house partner USC Barnkrug takes over the complete technical and nautical management for our own fleet or on behalf of third parties.

Commercial Management

The aim of our commercial management is to develop and operate long-term stable, well-structured and economically successful shipping projects to the satisfaction of our customers and partners.

Our focus:

  • Long-standing and close relationships with all relevant charterers
  • Deep national and international network of ship brokers for chartering, S&P and newbuilding
  • Ensuring the reliable operational and financial management of projects through conscientious contract management, invoicing, and charter accounting in day-to-day business
  • Close relationships with established ship financing banks for the financing of our projects

Crewing

The quality of the crew is a decisive factor in the success of a shipping operation. This is why we rely on first-class crew members at all levels – professionally qualified, motivated and team-oriented.

Our crew management is handled by our partner company USC Crew GmbH, which has also been working successfully for external shipowners for many years.

Our crewing services:

  • Recruitment, interviews and selection processes

Project Management

Elbdeich Reederei takes care of the entire management of maritime projects. Our project management covers the complete life cycle of a ship project from start to finish.

  • Project planning & structuring: Starting with the purchase or new order of a ship and the establishment of suitable national an/ or international corporate structures.
  • Technical & operational management: Monitoring of ongoing ship operations, including technical management, shipyard times, overhauls, liquidity planning and currency management
  • Exit: Coordination of the sale and professional liquidation of the project
